Debian Gnome desktop - how to add parameters to the start of a program [on hold]

-1

I can start a program with parameters in a terminal

terminator -l MyLayout

How do I do this if I press the command key or go to activities and select the application from the gui?

Using
Debian GNU/Linux 9.6 (stretch) 64-bit & Gnome v3.22.2

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "This is not about Ubuntu. Questions about other Linux distributions can be asked on Unix & Linux, those about Windows on Super User, those about Apple products on Ask Different and generic programming questions on Stack Overflow." – vidarlo, N0rbert, Florian Diesch, Kulfy, mook765

If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.
