USB/IP installation on Oracle Linux 7 for VirtualHere client

0

I am trying to use VirtualHere Linux console client on an Oracle Linux 7 box. However the client fails to start with an error:

[root@hostname ~]# ./vhclientx86_64
modprobe: FATAL: Module vhci_hcd not found.

I understand, that this is a module from the USB/IP project, that's supposed to be included in the kernel, but I don't have it at the moment. I also can't seem to find any package to install, that would provide this module.

I am somewhat at a loss now. Is my only option to compile the kernel myself with this module to get it working? Is there a source package available from yum to provide the starting point? Currently running kernel version is below, is there any hope for getting the source for such an old version?

[root@hostname ~]# uname -a
Linux syneesrv007 3.10.0-123.20.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jan 28 12:39:44 PST 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
