Can't update to Ubuntu 18.04 from 16.04

First, I did:

sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt autoremove

It all worked, but when I try to run:

sudo do-release-upgrade

I get:

I have no idea what any of these errors mean, but I am assuming it is not very good for python not to work properly on Ubuntu. When I tried to install it:

sudo apt install pyton
sudo apt install pyton3

I got:

python3 is already the newest version (3.5.1-3).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

and:

python is already the newest version (2.7.12-1~16.04).
python set to manually installed.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Is there anything I can do, or do I have to somehow find another machine to make a bootable USB with?

      16.04 updates
