Linux mint has just crashed - Jessie 8 (LMDE)

0

I did a normal update to the system last night and after reboot my computer just stopped working and keeps falling back to 'fallback mode'. I tried to reinstall Cinnamon without success. I tried to reinstall AIT drivers - no success. Does anyone have ideas?

I have installed iceWM as a 'failsafe dsktop' and I have uninstalled Cinnamon completely and re-installed it and the same thing happens. I got message the same message: Cinnamon just crashed.

  • Can you run dmesg or less /var/log/messages in a plain console?

I did a normal update to the system last night and after reboot my computer just stopped working and keeps falling back to 'fallback mode'. I tried to reinstall Cinnamon without success. I tried to reinstall AIT drivers - no success. Does anyone have ideas?

I have installed iceWM as a 'failsafe dsktop' and I have uninstalled Cinnamon completely and re-installed it and the same thing happens. I got message the same message: Cinnamon just crashed.

  • Can you run dmesg or less /var/log/messages in a plain console?

I did a normal update to the system last night and after reboot my computer just stopped working and keeps falling back to 'fallback mode'. I tried to reinstall Cinnamon without success. I tried to reinstall AIT drivers - no success. Does anyone have ideas?

I have installed iceWM as a 'failsafe dsktop' and I have uninstalled Cinnamon completely and re-installed it and the same thing happens. I got message the same message: Cinnamon just crashed.

share|improve this question

I did a normal update to the system last night and after reboot my computer just stopped working and keeps falling back to 'fallback mode'. I tried to reinstall Cinnamon without success. I tried to reinstall AIT drivers - no success. Does anyone have ideas?
