EXCEL nested IF alternation

Multi tool use
I am using poi to generate a cascade dependent drop-down lists, but Excel has a limit to the nested IF formula, so I was wondering can I change it to CONCATENATE IF. However, after the change the formula does not work. Is there anything I missed? Thank you very much for any hint!
The original formula was as follows, and it works:
IF(Sheet0!$A$2="HA",aux!$A$2:$I$2,IF(Sheet0!$A$2="DC",aux!$A$3:$C$3,))
The alternate formula doesn't work:
IF(Sheet0!$A$2="HA",aux!$A$2:$I$2,)&IF(Sheet0!$A$2="DC",aux!$A$3:$C$3,)

How many nested IF are you using originally? Unless you're on XL 2003 it should be pretty hard to hit the limit. If you don't provide the False parameter, the result of your concatenation will be peppered with "FALSE", if it worked. I don't understand why you return a range in the TRUE statement. What feeds off the result of the IF? As a new user please read this carefully: Edit your question to add clarification. Then post a comment to alert the followers of the question.
