installing 18.04 with dual boot windows 10 [duplicate]

  • How do I install Ubuntu alongside a pre-installed Windows with UEFI?

  • How to use manual partitioning during installation?

I created a flash drive to install ubuntu 18.04. I started the process and got to Allocate Drive Space. I got a screen similar to this one: https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-install-ubuntu-desktop#5
Except it said that the computer has Windows OS.

However, the options were the same, i.e., there is no option for dual booting there. It's 'erase disk and install Ubuntu' or 'Something else' for advanced users, which I don't consider myself to be.

Any ideas how to install a dual boot? Thanks.

  • You should install in different partition, may be resising windows before that. Dual boot appear automatically after popper install.
