Largest app that can run in FreeDOS, installed by Rufus?
What is the largest app that can run in FreeDOS, or what command in FreeDOS can show the available space? "mem" might show this but it's not recognized.
More specifically, I use Rufus to make a USB stick to boot another PC and the app I need to run there is 775 KB in size. When Rufus was used on Win7 PCs it could install MS-DOS onto the stick, and MS_DOS could run that 775 KB app. On a Win10 PC, FreeDOS is the only option and FreeDOS reports the image memory is occupied; that 775KB app is too large. I can probably shrink the app, but much smaller does it need to be?
Rufus installs FreeDOS kernel 2042.
No info found in other searches for either the max space in FreeDOS or how this could be shown with a command.
