Are there any BTRFS file system tutorials for desktop users later than 2015?
I installed ubuntu18.10 on a Btrfs file system for the promised advantages of CoW, snapshooting, mounted resizing, device-pooling and so on. As a desktop user with data science background I am looking for a up-to-date tutorial based on the btrfs-progs
that gives me a good starting point and overview of the best setups for multi device pools, system & file backups, organizing multiple projects and how to use which features therefore to get full leverage. Any idea?
Unfortunately I can only find tutorials from 2003-2015 mostly introducing the depreciated btrfs-tools
and/or focused on server applications. Also the links on the
Btrfs-wiki are all pretty outdated and I don't want to study the developer details or scan the complete Btrfs-man pages to figure out which features for which possible use case I can combine.
Is it in the end still too experimental or only for large scale server applications as already implemented by quite some large companies?
