Ubuntu 18.04 isn’t allowing me to use my wifi card

0

I’m new to Linux and I just recently installed ubuntu 18.04. I know that 18.10 is out but I want that free 4 year protection. Anyway Linux doesn’t allow me to use my WiFi card to connect to WiFi. I really wanna get my feet deep into Linux but the limitations of not being able to connect to WiFi is holding me back from downloading stuff. If anyone can help me that would be great (I don’t understand terminal code to well). Thanks in advance!
