I have been getting the root partition low on space alert frequently, and I want to resize my root partition.

Here is a screenshot of Gparted window:

Now the root partition is immediately followed by home partition, is there a way I could resize the root partition without losing any of my data in home?

I am new to Ubuntu / Linux in general so a step by step guide would be much appreciated.
