What happens when you "cannot boot"? Do you see an error message, or does the startup sequence go directly to the hard drive? Have you checked your BIOS boot priority?

Startup sequence does not start at all, does not go to hard drive, screen is blank not even a flashing cursor. BIOS boot priority checked, OK.
