How does an email travel from my computer to the recipient? [on hold]

-2

I would like to describe the itinerary of a data, starting from when I send an email from Paris to reach my cousin in Texas, for example. What happens ? I know that datas will cross the ocean through submarine cables. But what happens once the data has landed on coast ? Will the data follow through the underground cables? Where does my email go after crossing the ocean?
Many many thanks for your replies!
