How to play audio (or speech) to Airplay nodes from command-line?
I'm trying to find a way to send audio to an Airplay node from the command-line from any platform (OSX, Linux, or Windows). One thread here suggests that
say -a ?
from OSX should include AirPlay nodes, but on my OSX system, I only see the local hardware output device. (Note that from the GUI, all AirPlay nodes do show up from the volume controller; they are also all available from iTunes on all platforms).
I've tried various options such as AirControl and airplayer but these all appear to be limited to Apple TV mirroring, rather than audio output.
Can someone suggest a solution for sending arbitrary audio, or at least "say" from OSX, to an arbitrary AirPlay node, on any platform?
linux macos command-line audio airplay
