install xfce panel items to cinnamon panel as apples
I am trying out to switch from XFCE to cinnamon as my desktop (on a debian install). I am used to the xfce workspace switcher and the corresponding workspace switcher in debian (or the workspace grid and switcher) does not have the same functionality.
Is it possible to install an xfce panel item as a cinnamon applet on its panel? How? what are the technical differences between the code? I assume the xfce code is open source and can be adapted?
Thank you for advice and hints to the relevant documents!
