how can I edit an existing xml map in Excel 2010

0

I have an Excel 2010 template that has ~150 xml tags mapped to it.
We had to add an additional tag to the incoming xml.
I need to map this new tag to the existing document.
Please tell me there is a way to edit the schema without having to import a new one and remap all the existing tags.

Thanks in advance for any insight that you can provide.

  • UPDATE: I was able to make this work: Rename the .xlsx to .zip then with 7-zip, right click on xmlMaps.xml and choose EDIT (do not extract) and make your edits. Save the file and update the zip. Rename the file back to .xlsx and open it in Excel ---BINGO!!!---
