ping6 error 'operation not permitted'
I am unable to ping6 my gateway or beyond. I am able to ping6 my loopback successfully, but that is all.

I am unable to ping6 my gateway or beyond. I am able to ping6 my loopback successfully, but that is all.

It could be ip tables, or something. Try:
#ip6tables -P INPUT ACCEPT
#ip6tables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
#ip6tables -P FORWARD ACCEPT
fw is disabled. note the second to last command.

on the local machine, the error message produced will beping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted
. Not that I would expect a FreeBSD machine to be usingip6tables
.
