ASP.NET 4.5 deployment on Windows 7 platform
the subject question appeared during special server software installation on desktop Win 7 platform for testing.
The installer shell gives requests the ASP.NET 4.5 installed:
Please install the following programs manually and repeat the
installation: ASP.NET 4.5 (IIS)
So I've installed the last MS.Net 4.7.2 developer pack, then by checking IIS version made sure it's IIS 7.5. As I've googled IIS 7.5 should support ASP.NET 4.5. But I have no mentioning of ASP.NET 4.5 neither in IIS Manager -> Application Pool (version 4.0 active), nor in C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETFramework64 folder (only v4.0.30319 available with its own aspnet_regiis.exe, which registers ASP.NET4.0 indeed). I can't also enable it neither from Windows components panel (ASP.NET 4.5 missing), nor using 'dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:IIS-ASPNET45' - Windows component not found.
Is it possible at all to deploy correctly ASP.NET 4.5 on Windows 7 with IIS 7.5 and .NET 4.7.2? What should I do for?
