Log operations with timestamp and user
I have APP1 and APP2 using the same Database, both applications access the DB with the same user (let's call it postgres) and every end-user does login in both APP1 and APP2 with his own different credentials.
Is there a smart way to log every insert-update-delete that is done in APP2, recording the logged userID - timestamp - operation done (I-U-D) and maybe other additional information?
The log could be in a table on the DB or even in a .log file on the server, both ways are fine.
Sorry if it's confusing but I don't really know how to explain better the situation, make any question if that could help.
