Is samba client installed by default on Lubuntu?

-2

I have to install samba server on Lubuntu by

sudo apt install samba

But is it correct that I don't have to install samba client on Lubuntu, because I can type smb://192.168.1.198 on the address bar of file manager (e.g. pcmanfm), and connect to samba server? What is the samba client installed by default? For comparison, I have to install NFS client by

sudo apt install nfs-common

  • I believe you're able to choose packages during installation.

  • WHat packages do you mean, for server or client?
