Triggering “lid closed” when changing dock / external power connection
I want my laptop to respond as follows whenever the lid is closed:
- Docking -
ignore
- Connecting external power -
lock
- Otherwise -
suspend-then-resume
In my sleep.conf
I have:
HandleLidSwitchDocked=ignore
HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=lock
HandleLidSwitch=suspend-then-hibernate
Does the "lid closed" event reoccur each time when changing docking or external power connections?
Or in other words, what happens given the following events:
- External power is connected
- The lid is closed
- External power is disconnected
Would the non-external-power HandleLidSwitch
action then trigger?
If not, is there a way to get my laptop to suspend-then-hibernate
given the above events?
