Why Does Windows 10 Seem To Be Missing VPN Providers from Windows 8.1?
This seriously has me scratching my head.
In the VPN settings for Windows 8.1, when you add a new VPN connection, the prompt presents you with the options: Check Point VPN, F5 VPN, Juniper Networks Junos Pulse, Microsoft, and SonicWALL Mobile Connect. In Windows 10, it only has Windows (built-in) as the provider option.
The company I do work for uses an SSL VPN to connect remotely, so I've been using SonicWALL Mobile Connect to connect to the VPN, which has worked out fine for me in Windows 8.1. In Windows 10 however, my connection is rejected every time using Windows (built-in) as the provider and using automatic as the type.
Why are the other providers missing from Windows 10? Is it some kind of licensing thing?
