Pardon my less then savy computer lingo.

Not entirely sure what's going on. I bought this used/custom built computer a few months ago. It's started doing a thing where it would just freeze randomly. So I'd have to unplug it to turn it off. Well it started doing this on/off restart thing then magically stopped and decided to work for a week. Well the freeze happened again and now it's been 3 days of on/off restarting. It does not open anything as there is no time it just powers on and off and on and off and doesn't stop. What can I do?
