One of my three monitors doesn't wake up after sleep
Every so often when my triple monitor arch pc goes to sleep, only 2 turn back on when I move my mouse. I cannot reliably reproduce this problem though, so I have had quite limited oportunity to test what is really going on.
The things that I have tried is restarting SDDM which didn't help. The monitor does correctly show up in xrandr as connected and when trying to restart the monitor with xrandr --output DVI-D-1 --auto
I get nothing. I just got the same problem again 5 minutes ago and I tried doing xset dpms force on
, nothing happened, then I tried xset dpms force off
after which my 2 monitors turn off. After that I tried waking up my 2 monitors by moving my mouse but to my surprise only the third monitor which didn't wake up before woke up but I couldn't get the other 2 to do that. I did try doing another xset dpms force off
but after that one I wasn't able to wake any of them. The last thing I tried was unplugging the monitor and plugging it back in which didn't have any result.
So far I have not been able to wake all my monitors in the I think 5 times that it happened. I do allthough have an idea about how I might be able to reproduce it, I think it happens when the pc goes to sleep when I am not doing anything and then immediately wake it up again half a second later.
