Gerrit patch set handling
recently i downloaded with git review a patch set from gerrit that was not mine and started working on it. meanwhile the original owner of the commit uploaded a few new patchsets.
Then i uploaded my commit but not only was my commit uploaded to gerrit it created a new patch-set to the original commit which was completely identical to the original commit i reviewed.
Of course that was not meant to happen.
can you explain why did that happen? i would expect it would reject my commit for being not updated.
whats the correct way to work on other people commits that are not merged yet or are still being worked on?
thanks,
Gal
