Ctrl-Y yanking in Node repl doesn't work
I like interactively working in a REPL, so I was a bit confused when firing up Node's node
process and seeing that all the readline shortcuts I usually use worked as normal, except yanking with Ctrl-Y. I even tried wrapping the node process with rlwap
to get "readline superpowers", but I didn't see any difference.
Is there a known reason why Ctrl-Y yanking doesn't work in node
processes?
Alt-F, Alt-B, Alt-Backspace, Ctrl-F, Ctrl-B and Ctrl-K all work as expected.
