How to perform wired local file transfers with router
I have an old Linksys WRT160N V3 router and two laptops that are hooked into it through ethernet.
I want to learn how I can use that physical connection to transfer files between the two laptops. The router has a switch integrated into the back of it.
I do not wish for the file transfer to be dependent on having internet (the router won't even be connected to a modem).
If possible, I would like to setup a file server using HFS on one of the computers so that they could both access the files as they like.
What are the steps that I must take to accomplish this?
