Network Bridge Routing

0

I have an Ubuntu 18 server with 2 Ethernet connections, one connected to the LAN wall jack and the other connected to another machine (I'll call this the bridged machine). My intent in bridging was to route data directly from the server to the bridged machine. I created the bridge with nm-connection-editor taking the defaults. I'd like to know if data will be routed directly from the server to the bridged machine, or would it first go out to my router and back in through the bridge to the bridged machine?
