My Office 365 School Account Disabled the Windows Update with Group Policies

0

My friend setup his PC (Windows 10 1703) with his Office 365 School Account. Now, this account prevents the Windows Update for every user with some Group Policies restrictions .

A warn appeared on Windows Update page in Settings like "Your PC controlled with some policies by your corporation".

I removed the account from "School & Work Accounts" page in Settings. I also applied some Group Policies remove tricks like "gpupdate /force" but I'm unlucky :(

How can I rid the 365 account off permanently from the PC ?

Thanks.

  • The Windows Updates is generally for computer configuration instead of user configuration. Please confirm if this computer is domain joined and applied for any domain group policy. You can follow this article to check the detailed Windows update group policy settings: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/…
