How can I find the dimensions of cooler mounting screws on motherboards ? [closed]

0

I'm planning on making D.I.Y. stuffs on an old motherboard, that I'll give a second life to.

I was looking on trying passive-cooling solutions, so I obviously stumbled upon the Arctic Alpine AM4. However, it doesn't seem to be compatible with the socket I have (I have a FM2+ while this cooler is for AM4 only).

Since this is nothing but a piece of metal that screws on top of the CPU, I was thinking the only thing that would make it incompatible are the dimensions inbetween the screws.

Obviously, these info cannot be found on the technical sheet of the cooler.

Are there any standards for these dimensions, depending on the socket ? (1151,AM4,FM2+,FM2,...) ?

What are the standard size of these ?

  • On hold, really ? Should I insist more on the fact that I'm asking if standards exists for those dimensions ?
