Load entire application from network drive before starting it in windows
The Problem:
Client starts our software from a network drive. When the network connection is lost, the software crashes with the error C0000006 (IN PAGE ERROR).
I can partially prevent this by setting /SWAPRUN:NET in the linker of our Application. This tells the system to load entire binary to the swap before starting it.
The problem is, I can not do that with third party dlls we are using. If the software has to use one of the dlls while the network connection is gone, the software crashes with the above mentioned error.
Is there a possibility to tell the system to load all the needed files to the swap before running the application?
